Course is recommended for lay persons for home and
community. course participants can take adult, child
and infant CPR, automated external defibrillation
(AED) and first aid skills, in the combinations
listed below.

and respond to an emergency.

How to care
for a person who is choking.

Checking an
unconscious person for life-threatening and
non-life-threatening conditions.

Recognizing
and caring for a person who is not
breathing.

How to care
for a heart attack and how to give CPR.

Using and AED
and identifying precautions when using and
AED.
-
Identifying
the signs and symptoms of sudden illness,
including stroke, diabetic emergency,
poisoning and allergic reactions and care
for them.

Controlling
bleeding.
-
Recognizing and caring for heat and cold
related emergencies.
